The Operations Research Society of the Philippines, UST Student Chapter, a national academic organization, commits itself to the promotion of the education and training of potential operations research practitioners. The student chapter affirm its role in the cultivation of the value of leadership among student members and the rest of the community.

The Operations Research Society of the Philippines, UST Student Chapter, envisions itself to be recognized by the Operations Research Society of the Philippines Mother Chapter as the expert in essential areas of Operations Research.

 

 

Brief Description of the Organization:

 

 

Operations Research Society of the Philippines – UST Chapter is an organization from the Faculty of Engineering focused on the field of Operations Research. Operations Research(OR) is a discipline that deals with the application of advanced analytical methods to help improve the quality of decisions about managing scarce and valuable resources. Such resources include not only financial resources but also issues related to the quality of human life, medical treatment, the environment and many other important issues. ORSP - UST Chapter provides its members w/ activities and events that would enrich the knowledge and skills of its members. It exposes its members to the diverse applications of Operations Research in various industries.
